My name is Jake Burghart, and these are some notes on my new TV show, School of Surf, which started airing in December of 2009 on Mtv2. It's about two high school surf teams, one is from New Jersey, and the other lives in Malibu. The show is shot as a documentary, not reality TV. We follows the kids through a school year comparing and contrasting their lives, leading up to an end of the year showdown. East vs West

None of the goons on the show is from the Jersey Shore, but each summer, they and their ilk, slip on tight-as-rashguard shirts and come flocking to towns like Belmar, Wildwood, and Seaside Heights.
